The maintenance department is responsible for mowing grass, trimming hedges and plants, pulling and spraying weeds, blowing off clippings, and cleaning-up and disposing trash.

The main goal of the maintenance department is to improve the landscaping on the property that they are servicing

Additional responsibilities include identifying project work for larger items that need to be done on the site that are not within the scope of work for landscaping services. For example, large tree trimming, installing mulch, gutter cleaning, and more,

Best practices for providing landscaping services always starts with practicing the most rigorous safety protocols. These safety protocols include - personal protective equipment or PPE’s, understanding how to operate your equipment, and much more. Specific safety training is provided separately.

It is both the hourly employee and managers responsibility to always use safety standards. However, it is the managers responsibility to enforce these safety protocols and to make sure the employees they are in charge of are operating safetly.
